You've got questions. We've got answers.
When is the tour?
The 2025 West Seattle Garden Tour takes place on Sunday, June 22nd from 9am to 5pm.
WHEN DO TICKETS GO ON SALE?
Tickets for the 29th Annual West Seattle Garden Tour go on sale online February 12th, 2025 and at select retailers in early May, 2025..
where can I buy TOUR tickets?
You may buy tickets online or at our retail outlets. Tour tickets are not available for purchase at gardens on tour day—they must be purchased at a participating ticket outlet or online. Get a list of retail outlets and additional ticketing details on the Tickets page.
how does the tour work?
The "ticket" you purchase is actually a guide book, and will contain addresses for the gardens on this year's tour. At each garden, present your ticket book at the check-in table, and a volunteer will stamp it. Every person aged 12 years or older needs a ticket book of their own.
WHERE DO I START THE TOUR?
You may start the tour at any garden of your choice, and visit gardens in any order you want.
CAN I WALK THE TOUR?
If you want to see all the gardens, we wouldn't advise it! The gardens will be spread throughout the entire West Seattle area, with the furthest points possibly spreading 7 miles, north to south, and west to east. We try to choose gardens close to each other whenever possible to reduce the number of times you have to drive and park, but we cannot eliminate the need for some wheels altogether.
DO YOU HAVE A SHUTTLE?
No, you must provide your own transportation.
HOW LONG DOES THE TOUR TAKE?
That depends on how long you linger in each garden. We would recommend allowing at least 3-4 hours for touring (not counting lunch), if you want to go at a leisurely pace but not devote the entire day to it.
MAY I BRING MY DOG?
Unless your dog is a certified service animal, please leave Mr. Ruff at home.
MAY I BRING MY CHILD?
Of course! But please keep a close eye on small children. Some of the gardens may have water features, steep stairs or embankments, toxic plants, or other risks for little ones. Also, please note that many gardens are not stroller-friendly. Refer to the ticket book, when published, for accessibility notes.
DO YOU RECOMMEND A PLACE FOR LUNCH?
The Admiral District, California Junction, Morgan Junction, and Westwood Village are great places to look for restaurants. There are more details in the ticket book.
DO YOU PROVIDE OR SELL DRINKS AT THE GARDENS?
Please bring your own non-alcoholic beverages with you to keep you hydrated. Glass containers are prohibited in the gardens.
DO YOU PROVIDE RESTROOMS AT THE GARDENS?
No, there are no restrooms at the gardens. However, a few local businesses have invited you to use their facilities. Please see the ticket book for details.
HOW DO I recommend A GARDEN for next year?
We welcome your recommendations! Please send us an email with the gardener's name, street address and phone number or email, or fill out the form on the Refer A Garden page.
